Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable easy control of wind direction within the range of horizontal to 45 deg. by forming outwardly concave grooves at the lower opening rim of opposed wall of an outlet port of an air conditioner. CONSTITUTION:Ceiling plates 7 are fitted on the ceiling plate support portions 6 of a ceiling end 4. A hood 8 is placed between vertical members 5 to form an air conditioner outlet port 1. Vanes 2 are oppposedly placed in the port 1, with their shaft 12 pivoted on pivot plates 13. Outwardly concave grooves 3 are formed in both side of the lower opening rim of the port 1. Conditioning air fed from an air conditioner inlet port 9 is fed out via port 1, with the direction changed by adjustment of the vanes 2. With vanes 2 so adjusted to direct air into the grooves 3, a swirl developes in the grooves so that the air flow direction can be controlled within the range from horizontal to 45 deg..
