Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent temperature increase of stagnant water in a suction pipe, even in a stop of a main machine, by introducing exhaust water from a transformer cooler to a water tank and composing to use this water as sealing water of a main shaft.
CONSTITUTION: One end of a pipe line interconnected with a main feed pump P1 and a transformer pump P2 is connected with a suction pipe 1 of a high head water wheel and the other end is branched off so properly that a pipe 5 and a pipe 6 are connected with coolers for various kinds of apparatuses and a transformer cooler 7 respectively, waste water from the cooler 7 is sent to a water tank 18 through a pipe 17, fed to a main shaft thrust bearing 9 through a water pipe 15 for a main shaft seal to use as seal water of a main shaft, and exhausted to a pit 11. By this means, water supply for cooling from an iron pipe is not required because temperature increase of stagnant water in the suction pipe 1 with exhaust water from the transformer cooler is prevented even in a stop of a main machine.
