Abstract

In this mutual backup system, the data of the common pattern is transferred (10, 11) between unit 2 and 3 via circuit 8 and in a fixed sequence under the premise that the data is received from the control units of the partner side within a fixed time. In this case, means 15 is provided to check the contents of the received data as well as the sequence progress. Based on the checking result, the state of the backup circuit is judged.
