PURPOSE:To correct the temperature at high precision, by detecting the frequency difference in oscillation output of two sets of oscillators as a beat signal, and correcting the frequency division output of a frequency divider accordingly. CONSTITUTION:A periodic difference proportional to the temperature of oscillation outputs of crystal oscillators 1, 2 is detected by a beat detector 5 as the beat of the two outputs, and counted by a counter 6. Whenever the counter 6 counts up to the specified number, it outputs a signal which resets a timer 7. A pulse correction circuit 8 which generates signal of specified time due to frequency dividing output of a frequency dividing circuit 9 through this timer 7 will correct the specified number of pulses for 1 pulse outputted from the circuit 5 with rspect to the frequency dividing output of the frequency dividing circuit 4. Therefore, according to the external setting of the timer period of the timer 7, the correction of temperature characeristic of a watch may be realized easily and at high precision. Besides, by picking up such discriminating signals, the precision of the watch may be measurd easily.
