Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the choking, bending, uneven quenching, and other troubles in the slit part of a nozzle part by injecting cooling fluid from the slit as conveying a steel pipe to be processed by a conveyer and rotating the nozzle part by a driving unit.
CONSTITUTION: "1" shows a part of the inside of a steel pipe to be processed, and "2" shows a boom to be used for a water pipe and the support of a nozzle. An injection port A is provided at the top of the water pipe 2, while a rotatable nozzle part 4 is provided in the top side with a bearing 9 between. On the right side of the nozzle part 4, a trumpet-shaped nozzle 4' is provided in one body, and another nozzle part 3 is equipped at the top to form a slit B. As the above-said steel pipe 1 to be processed is shifted to the left side by a conveyer, cooling fluid is supplied to a hollow C, and injected from the slit part B as an arrow 11 shows. The nozzle part 4 can be rotated by driving a driving unit 7.
