Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the desired delay time without damping surface-wave energy by providing a multistrip coupler between an exciting electrode and receiving electrode provided onto a substrate and a metal thin film to the path of elastic surface waves branched by the coupler. CONSTITUTION:Onto the surface of substrate 10 which allows elastic surface waves to propagate on its surface, exciting electrode 11 driving surface elastic waves by applying an electric signal and receiving electrode 13 receiving surface elastic waves are both provided. Onto the propagation path of elastic surface waves between exciting electrode 11 and receiving electrode 13, multistrip coupler 12 is provided which devides surface elastic waves into two; and one devided surface elastic waves are applied to receiving electrode 13 and on the path of elastic surface waves between the other exciting electrode 11 and coupler 12, metal thin film 14 is arranged, which causes a phase difference of pi/2, so as to obtain the desired delay time without damping elastic surface wave energy. A propagation-path change ratio at which this coupler 12 branches the propagation path of surface elastic waves is fixed to 50%.
