Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable valuation of contact resistance between a rotolouver and an iron core by making a magnetic core contact with the surface of a rotor iron core, applying an AC magnetic flux of different phase from this magentic core to the iron core so that the sum of all the magnetic fluxes becomes zero, and measuring the exciting current at this time.
CONSTITUTION: Probes 4, 5 are made contact on an iron core 1 having a rotolouver 2. Then, AC currents of different phase are flown through the probes 4 and 5, respectively so that the sum of all the magnetic fluxes entering into the tooth 1A of the iron core 1 becomes zero. If the contact resistance between the rotolouver 2 and the core 1 is small, shorting circuits are formed around the respective probes 4, 5 to thus increase the exciting currents of the probes and their losses. Accordingly, the contact resistance between the rotolouver and the iron core can be evaluated by measuring the currents of the probes. In case of measuring the losses, if the contact resistance Zc is low, large current flows through the contact resistance Zc to largely fluctuate a wattmeter W. Thus, the contact resistance can be evaluated without damage of the rotor.
