Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an electric cleaner, in which a partition wall is provided in the dust collecting case for dividing the same into a rough-dust chamber and a fine- dust chamber and is provided in its opening with a freely slidable cover, and said fine-dust chamber is provided with a cover, whereby it is enabled to treat fine dust and rough dust separately and to carry out dust discharging operation in sanitary manner.

CONSTITUTION: At the time of cleaning operation of cleaner, rough dust is collected by pre-filter 17 whereas fine dust is collected by main filter 11. In discharging the dust collected in the cleaner to the outside, so-called "dust detaching operation" is carried out by turning handle 15 and thereby rotating main filter 11 to detach fine dust from the main filter 11 and to collect fine dust in lower fine-dust chamber B. Subsequently, when handle 15 is pulled and dust collecting means is detached, cover 23 that has been urged onto front surface 17' of pre-filter 17 is slided by the force of spring 22 to close opening 20 formed in the partition wall 19 that divides the dust collecting case into rough-dust chamber A and fine-dust chamber B. Thus, only rough dust can be discharged to the outside by placing the opening of case 3 downward, whereas fine dust can be discharged by opening cover 24.
