Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect even a very small discharge, by connecting a series circuit of capacitor for voltage change detection and two potential dividing resistances between high tension terminal and the earth, and picking up a detection signal from the connection point of the divided potential resistances.
CONSTITUTION: Between a high tension terminal 1 to which the object being measured is connected and the earth 2 is connected a series circuit of a capacitor for voltage change detection 3 and two potential dividing resistances 4, 5. And the cathode of a zener diode 6 is connected to the connection point of the potential dividing resistances 4, 5, and the cathode of a diode 16 of which anode is connected to the anode of the zener diode 6 is connected to a discriminating circuit 13 by way of a resistance 17. The voltage change taking place when discharge occurs in the high tension terminal 1 is picked up by way of the capacitor 3, and the voltage at the connection point of the potential dividing resistances 4, 5 is picked up by way of the zener diode 6, and judged in the discriminating circuit 13.
