Abstract

PURPOSE:To insert a thermistor between a capacitor which becomes the power source and the transistor which turns ON/OFF the main circuit to be controlled, thereby giving a negative gradient characteristic with respect to changes in ambient temperature. CONSTITUTION:A timer circuit is composed battery 1, start switch 2, timer proper 3 and heater relay 4 which turns ON/OFF the main circuit of air heater 5 according to the indication of timer proper 3. The timer proper 3 is provided with capacitor 6, transistors 7 to 9, thermistor 10 and resistor 11. One end of thermistor 10 is connected to capaictor 6 which is serially connected to battery 1, and its other end is connected to the base of transistor 7. Further the emitter of transistor 7 is connected to the base of transistor 8, and the emitter of transistor 8 is connected to the other end of capacitor 6, thereby forming a discharge circuit. In this way, a timer can be obtained which is most suitable for controlling the air heater of the Diesel engine.
