Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently treat exhaust gas at a low cost by supplying NH3 gas to the exhaust gas to successively react the NH3 gas with NOx, HCl and SOx contained in the exhaust gas, thus carrying out reduction and salt formation.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas generated from incineration furnace 1 is collected in exhaust gas chamber 8 and discharged from the furnace through flue 9. At this time, NH3 is injected into chamber 8 from NH3 storage tank 10 through NH3 supply pipe 11 to decompose NOx in the gas into N2 gas and steam. The exhaust gas is then supplied to wet scrubber 17 through cooler 12, air preheater 13, multi-cyclone 14, etc., and during the time, the excess NH3 reacts with HCl and SO2 in the gas, forming ammonium salts, which are washed and removed. The wet circulating water is then introduced into heating vessel 25, where NH3 is liberated from NH4Cl dissolved in the water, and the NH3 is recycled to furnace 1 through blower 26.
