Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease NH3 consumption and to reduce exhaust-gas-disposing cost in removal of unreacted NH3 in exhaust-gas-denitrating process, by decomposing ammonium salt formed by fixing NH3 with acidic gas to form NH3, and by reutilizing the NH3 in denitration.
CONSTITUTION: NH3 is injected into combustion furnace 1 exhaust gas contg. NOx etc., so as to make the NOx inactive at 870W1,095°C in a temp.-lowering tower. Excess NH3 reacts with acidic gas such as HCl etc. contained in the exhaust gas to form ammonium salt, and is led through a heat exchanger 3 to a washing tower 5, where it is washed with water to form an aq. soln. The soln. is delivered through an exhaust water tank 6 to an evaporation-to-dryness apparatus 10, where ammonium chloride C etc. is recovered. The ammonium salt is heated to 300W500°C and is decomposed in a vaporizer 11 packed with solid CaO etc. to form NH3 which is reutilized. The acidic gas is neutralyzed with CaO etc. The exhaust gas flowing out of the washing tower 5 is sent through a moisture-decreasing tower 7, dust collector 8 to a chimney 4. NH3 consumption in this process is very little so that replenishment of NH3 is also very little, hence exhaust-gas-disposing cost is reduced.
