Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently remove dusts by providing a rotary press plate connected to a cord reel for compressing the dusts to move in dust collecting space within the dust collecting case of a vacuum cleaner to thereby collect the dusts at every using time to reduce the trouble.
CONSTITUTION: When cleaning with this vacuum cleaner, large dusts are caught by a primary filter element 32 to be retained in a dust collecting space 34, and fine dusts are caught by secondary filter element 46. When a cord is wound on a cord reel after finishing a cleaning operation, a rotary press plate 66 is rotated to remove the dusts accumulated at the outside of the filter element 32 from the filter element 32 and to urge the dusts into the main collecting portion 40 in the space 34. When the cord is fully wound, the press plate 66 completes the rotating stroke in front of an end stop 39 to wait for the cord extension at next cleaning time. This stroke is repeated at every cleaning time to thereby allow the plate 66 to compress and contain the dusts in the portion 40.
