Abstract

Therefore, demonstration of slidability which is almost the same with that of full cementation quenching becomes possible by applying partial hardening treatment only on the wearing parts 2b, 2c. By doing so, when piston part 2 and sliding arm part 2a are formed by one mold iron casting, or when piston part 2 is formed by the material such as comparatively high carbon steel, surface treatment becomes possible by short-time heating such as radio wave heating without heating any part except that is necessary to be heated, and therefore, deformations of parts can be restricted to the minimum by short-time heating and cooling in small range.
