PURPOSE:To prevent oxidation of Ni-contg. steel in an oxidation region where grain boundary oxidation takes place remarkably by heating the steel to 700 C by low frequency induction heating; switching to high frequency heating to rapidly heat the surface alone; and then switching to low frequency heating again to make the temp. of the steel uniform after the temp. of the interior reaches a prescribed one.
