Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the homogeneous liquid decomposition product of a polyether- type polyurethane resin, which can be reused as a raw material, by heating the resin in a urea-alkylene oxide adduct at a low temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A polyurethane resin prepared from a polyether polyol and a polyisocyanate is crushed into blocks, granules, etc.; added to an adduct prepared by reacting urea with ≥ 1 mole of an alkylene oxide, e.g. ethylene oxide, etc., preferably at 130W150°C; and thereafter thermally decomposed at 130W180°C.
EFFECT: The decomposition product or its addition reaction product with an alkylene oxide can be reused as a raw material of the polyurethane resin.
