Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent that reflector itself of a sealed-beam lamp and reflecting surface on the inner surface of reflector are deteriorated due to heat, by minimizing heating of a shield member which is disposed in the manner surrounding the reflector.
CONSTITUTION: Lamp 1 is placed on the inside of burner 5 and shield plae 8, with its reflector 2 and front lens 3 being coupled together, and the joint portion is heated by flame ejected from nozzles 6 of burner 5. At the same time, compressed air is supplied into pipe 9 via conduit 11 and ejected to the outside from nozzle 10. Compressed air thus ejected from nozzle 10 is directed onto the surface of shield plate 8 and flows upward along the surface of the same. As the result, shield plate 8 is cooled by the air flowing along its surface, so that it is prevented that the shield plate 8 itself is heated to a high temperature. Thus, transmission of radiant heat from shield plate 8 to reflector 2 can be minimized.
