Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a crosslinked polyolefin having high elongation even at high degree of crosslinking, in high crosslinking efficiency, by mixing a liquid containing a silane compound, a radical generator, and a siloxane condensation catalyst, to a mixture of a polyolefin and an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: A resin composition prepared by mixing (A) a mixture of 100 parts by weight of a polyolefin and 5W100 parts by weight of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer elastomer (pref. high-ethylene-propylene elastomer), and (B) a liquid containing a silane compound (e.g. vinyltrimethoxysilane), a radical generator (e.g. dicumylperoxide), and a siloxane condensation catalyst (e.g. dibutyltin dilaurate), is reacted by heating and simultaneously extrusion molded; and the article thus obtained is crosslinked by contacting with water.
