Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a press molding apparatus in which escape and scattering of powder are avoided by concentrically cutting a groove on a rotary disc to set a metal mold and attaching a unit for charging a fixed amt. of powder into the mold, a powder level detector and a molded product takig unit.
CONSTITUTION: Rotary disc 20 provided with groove 3 housing powder 1 is intermittently worked to pass lower opening 5a of metal mold 5 set in groove 3 under powder 1 gathered up by scrapers 16a, 16b, thus filling mold 5 with a fixed amt. of powder 1. Next opening 5a is passed under scraper 16c to scrape powder 1. Powder 1 is press molded with upper and lower punches 7, 4, and molded product 9 is pushed up with lower punch 4 and taken out with molded product taking unit 8. At this time, the amt. of powder 1 reduced in groove 3 is detected with powder level detector 10, and the powder is suppllied from powder supply pipe 11. With this mechanism, a loss of powder is reduced and the wt. accuracy of products is improved.
