PURPOSE:To obtain suitable specifications of a fork lift truck by setting a front wheel axle supporting member at a jig to thereby dispose the both side frame front end and setting a rear body at a jig to thereby position the both side frame rear end. CONSTITUTION:The rear body 3 of a fork lift truck is set at jigs 100 to 118 and temporarily welded thereto, and then originally welded to thereby subassemble the rear body 3. Front wheel axle supporting members 2, 2 are connected beforehand to the inside front ends of the respective side frames 1, 1. A center cross member 8 is set to migs 126, 128, and the body 3 is to jigs 130, 132. The engaging holes 2a, 2e of the member 2 are engaged with jigs 120, 122, and the member 2 is set to the jig 124. The frames 1, 2 are brought into contact with the outside surface 5a of the supporting plate of the body 3 for their location so as to obtain suitable specification of the fork lift truck.
