Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the noise owing to torsional vibration by fixing both ends of a multi-blade fan to an output shaft through a fixing means and suppressing the vibration about the output shaft. CONSTITUTION:A fan 4 is fixed firmly to an output shaft 3a at one position with a boss 6 and at two positions with small bosses 10, in tatal at three positions. As a result, natural frequency of the fan 4 becomes higher than that of a conventional type one which is fixed at only one position with a boss 6. Therefore, needless to say of the case when the frequency of variable torque does not coincide with the natural frequency of torsion, even when the two coincide with each other, magnitude of the variable torque which acts as external force on the torsional vibration system about the output shaft 3a becomes small effectively for the higher frequency constituents of the variable torpue. Therefore, torsional vibration about the output shaft 3a is reduced and the noise accompanied by the vibration is also reduced.
