Abstract

PURPOSE: To promote an improvement of the breaking performance, by means of breaking a current at two points, with a rotary type movable contact piece provided between conductors.
CONSTITUTION: Between a pair of conductors 22, 23 provided in parallel, is installed a movable contact piece 27 with its center part axially and rotatably supported. With contacts 28, 29 provided at both ends of said movable contact piece, a two-point breaking of current is operated at the both end contact parts of said movable contact piece, simultaneously with arc chutes 38, 39 installed to those breaking parts respectively. In such constitution, a current limiting breaker can be provided with a good breaking performance.
