Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the knob inside the door for a vehicle from damaging due to forced depression of the knob in the means for preventing a key from being forgotten in the vehicle by interposing another one motion in an operation for depressing the knob at the door closing time.
CONSTITUTION: When a handle inside the door of a vehicle is operated to open the door in the door opened state, a force of the direction as designated by an arrow b is transmitted to the end 17 via a lever (not shown) to cause an open lever 11 to be moved leftwardly. Accordingly, a connector 19 faces with the portion where no return spring 25 is existed in a window hole 18 to thereby become the state capable of moving downardly. If the knob inside the door is then depressed, a locking lever 21 is rotated to the position designated by broken lines to cause the connector 19 to be slidably slidden to the bottom of long hole 13. If the door is closed in this state, a ratchet 10 cannot rotate upon rotation of the lever 11 to thus complete a so-called keyless lock. The return spring 25 is provided to prevent depression of the knob when the door opening handle is not operated.
