Abstract

PURPOSE: To contrive the cost down for the dies and the shortening of the time for manufacturing work, by processing as follows; the primary electrode is formed by forming the product shape on the copper sheet by means of the wire-cut electric spark machining; the male die is formed by processing the dies material with the electric spark machining using above stated electrode; and then, the female die is formed similarly using this male die as the secondary electrode; and two dies are combined for use.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of manufacture of the press dies for instance, the product shape is formed in the about 1mm thick copper sheet by means of the wire- cut electric spark machining, and hereby, the primary electrode 11 is prepared. Next, the secondary electrode 12 is prepared using this primary electrode 11 by means of electric spark machining for the dies material like as alloy tool steel, etc. Further, this secondary electrode 12 is used for electris spark machining of alloy tool steel, etc., on purpose to form the female die 13; hereupon, the above stated secondary electrode 12 made of alloy tool steel, etc., is used as the male die, to form the dies together with the female die 13.
