Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce laminated iron cores continuously, automatically and highly accurately by welding the outside circumferential parts of laminated sheets continuously in a longitudinal direction with a welding torch incorporated into the die for blanking sheets such as silicon steel sheets.
CONSTITUTION: A welding torch 3 is incorporated into the die 1 of a press machine which blanks iron core blank materials 4 consisting of sheets such as silicon sheets with a punch 2. In this die 1, the outside circumferential parts of laminated iron cores 5 consisting of the materials 4 are welded continuously in a longitudinal direction. If in this case the thickness of the iron cores 5 attains prescribed thickness, projecting parts 9 are provided only to specific one sheet of the blank material to form a spacing, so that the iron cores 5 can be separated. As a result, the accuracy of aligning of the materials 4 which is most laborious during welding of the cores 5 is maintained extremely easily at high accuracy by means of the die 1. The reduction in equippment installation area is made possible besides the reduction in working processes and labor costs.
