Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve spectral sensitivity characteristics and to form a good image on a heat sensitive recording material even from a colored original, by irradiating with light the heat sensitive material on which a toner image has been formed in accordance with a static image.
CONSTITUTION: Photosensitive drum 20 is uniformly charged with charger 21, imagewise exposed to light from original 23 by image irradiator 22 to form a static latent image, and this is developed with toner with developing device 24. A heat sensitive recording sheet for use in a stencil printing original is conveyed to bias traansfer roller 25 through sheet feed guide 30 with feed roller 31. The sheet onto which reticulate structure a toner image is transferred from drum 20 is irradiated by light from flash illuminator 33 while being carried with conveyor belt 32 to form an image. Drum 20 is again charged after passing through destaticizing lamp 26 and cleaner 27. When plain paper is used for copying, plain paper 34 is conveyed to roller 25 through pickup roller 34', paper feed guide 35, feed rollers 36 and 31.
