Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it simple to operate the switching for original different in size by incorporating two kinds of lense different in focal distance and selecting them separately.
CONSTITUTION: Original 1 is fed through guide plates 2 and 3 by a pair of feeding rollers 4 and 5 and pressure-fixed rollers 6 and 7 which are rotatably fixed to feeding rollers 4 and 5 respectively by pressure. When original 1 is positioned between rollers 4 and 5, the light from fluorescent lamp 8 is reflected on part a of original 1 and is made incident onto optical system 9. Lenses 16 and 17 of the lense mechanism part of optical system 9 are so fitted that they may make an angle of 90° on the same circle in respect to center axis 13 of lense supporting plate 12, and the lense switching operation casues the optical axis of each lense to agree with optical axis 23 of optical system 9. In case that the original is changed from A4 size to B4 size when original 1 is A4 size and is using lense 16, lense 17 is made available by the lense switching operation, so that a scale factor can be changed to obtain a focused image on soild scanning element 24.
