Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a pigment-attached fluorescent substance free of decay in a slurry state of a film made of a mixture of gelatine and gum arabic and peeling of a pigment at fluorescent substance coating process by attaching an organic antiseptic particle to a fluorescent substance whose surface is provided with a pigment particle by applying the mixture thereon.
CONSTITUTION: A fluorescent substrance is uniformly suspended in one selected from among a gelatine solution and a gum arabic solution to form a fluorescent substance suspension, while a pigment particle is uniformly suspended in the other to form a pigment particle suspension. Here, the suspension is performed by an agitator, a ball mill or the like. Then, the fluorescent substance suspension and the pigment particle suspension are mixed together by stirring to make the pigment particle adhere to the surface of the fluorescent substance, causing the fluorescent substance to precipitate. An organic antiseptic particle is attached to the surface of the fluorescent substance thus pigment-attached in an emulsion state and allowed to dry to provided the intended fluorescent substance. Here, the fluorescent substance employs Y2O2S:Eu for example and the pigment particle a reddish pigment particle, represented by Cd (S1-x Sex) for example.
