Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the self-travelling of elevators in an economical manner with an electric braking force applied on the drive motor on the considion that the elevater cage starts travelling without any operation command.
CONSTITUTION: In an elevator designed that a sheave 4 which is wound with a rope 7 having a cage and balancing weight installed respectively at either end thereof is turned by a motor 2 is driven through a drive circuit 1, a magnetic field coil 3 of the motor is controlled by a control device 8 so that the current im flows during the operation by a contact 10a of a relay which is normally energized with an operation command.
