Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of watch body and improve after-service characteristic by limiting and disposing a <3>H light to the important part of the display part of the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:A <3>H light 10 is surrounded of its side face with a <3>H light frame 17 and is bonded at its bottom face together with the frame 17 to a <3>H light receiving plate 18 by a double-coated adhesive tape 21. The light 10 is covered at its top face by a semitransparent reflecting plate 8 and is secured to the frame 17 by a double-coated adhesive tape 19, whereby a <3>H light part 5 is constituted. Liquid crystal material is sealed in the space formed by an upper glass 2, lower glass 3 and sealing member 4. The liquid display device 1 constituted by an upper polarizing plate 6 and lower polarizing plate 7 is fixed to a connector frame 14 by fastening liquid crystal display device retainers 15 with screws 16 and is electrically conducted to an electronic circuit block by means of a connector. In this way, the light part 5 and the device 1 are separated and only the time display part of the device 1 is lighted by the light part 5.
