Abstract
PURPOSE:To make fine adjustment of frequency and perform accurate frequency adjustment by providing metal films for frequency adjustment near the vibrating point and adjusting the film thickness. CONSTITUTION:The nodal line when longitudinal vibrations occur in the long side direction of a vibrating part 2 becomes a broken line 7 which bisects the long side size and the nodal line when longitudinal vibrations occur in the short side direction becomes a broken line 8, hence it turns out that the nodal point exists at the central point 6 of the vibrating part 2. Metal films 5 such as of, e.g., Au or the like, for frequency adjustment are provided near said nodal point 6 by means such as vapor deposition, sputtering or the like. For example, metal masks 15 opened with a hole near the nodal point of the vibrator 1 are set in opposition to the vibrator 1 and vapor deposition is progressed. When a desired frequency is coincided, the vapor deposition is stopped and this completes the frequency adjustment.
