Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a measuring appratus of velocity and rate of flow of good rigidity and sensitivity and good S/N with a simple constitution by mounting the force detecting parts which are opposedly provided on the lateral peripheral part of a columnar rigid body part by means of ?a fixing means.
CONSTITUTION: Force detcting parts 2 which are opposedly provided on the side face of a rigid body part 1 are insulated and sealed by means of a sealing body 3. When the force to be measured is applied alternately like the arrow X, the detection parts 2 produce the electric signal corre?sponding to the force to be measured. By detecting this signal, the force to be measured may be measured. Now, when this device C is used with a measuring apparatus of velocity and rate of flow by making use of von Karman's vortex streets and the fluid to be measured flows in the arrow Y direction of the pipeline A, then vol Karman's vortex streets are produced by a vortex producing body B, acting alternating forces perpendicular to the plane of the figure. The alternation times thereof are detected with the detection part 2, whereby the vortex generating frequencies may be detected. Since the detection parts are so provided as to directly face to the places where the force to be be measured is applied, the measuring force may be detected with good sensitivity without picking up any external noise.
