Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare an anaerobic curable composition useful as adhesives, etc., having excellent storage stability and curing rate in use, by compounding specific (meth)acrylate monomers with an organic peroxide, saccharin and tetrahydroquinoline.
CONSTITUTION: Diethylene glycol dimethacrylate (DG) or a mixture consisting of ≥ 10wt.% of DG and < 90wt.% of polymerizable (meth)acrylate monomers of, is compounded with preferably 0.1-5 wt.% of an organic peroxide, e.g. cumene hydroperoxide, etc.. Preferably 0.05-1 wt. % of saccharin is added and 1, 2, 3, 4- tetrahydroquinoline at a molar ratio of 0.5-5 on the basis of saccharin is further added to give an anaerobic curable composition.
