Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a dust removing and denitrifying device to remove dust contained in exhaust gas and operate denitrification and thereby to facilitate the supply of denitribying agents and at the same time to improve the efficiency of the catalytic device and lengthen its life.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas 1 containing dust and NOx passes through dust collector 3 having moving layer 2 which is formed of fine pariticles of iron ore, and the dust contained in the gas is arrested by the fine particles of moving layer 2. The fine particles, together with the arrested dust, move downward and are collected into the iron-making-raw-material hopper from exit 4 of dust collector 3. The exhaust gas from which dust has been removed enters denitrifying device 5 placed at the lower stream, and NOx is dissolved and denitrification is done.
