Abstract

PURPOSE: To modify the surface of a high polymer film, by irradiating the back face, which is not in contact with a photopolymerizable composition, of the high polymer film, the other face of which is in contact with the composition, with active ray of light to increase the amount of absorbed light and active site concentration near the film surface.
CONSTITUTION: The front face of a high polymer film is brought into contact with a photopolymerizable composition containing a radically polymerizable compound, a photosensitizer, etc., and the back face out of contact with the composition is irradiated with active ray of light directly or via a transparent body. Maleic anhydride (meth)acrylamide, trithylen glycol mono(meth)acrylamite, etc. may be cited as the radically polymerizable comupound. Benzoin ether, acetophenone, ferrous chloride-Eosine, etc. may be cited as the photosensitizer which may be used if necessary.
