Abstract
PURPOSE:To roll and manufacture the steel sheet with superior shape, by accurately controlling the crown of the rolling roll using the arithmetic unit for thermal expansion of the rolling roll, the arithmetic unit for surface displacement of the roll, the arithmetic unit for bending crown, etc., at rolling of steel sheet, etc. CONSTITUTION:Before the rolling work is started, the reference roll crown is given to the controlling arithmetic unit 11. The temperature of the work roll 1 is detected by the detector 8, and is sent to the controlling arithmetic unit 11 together with the surface displacement signal for the work roll 1 obtained by hte roll surface displacement arithmetic unit 10. The sheet thickness detected by the sheet thickness detector 6, the rolling load detected by the rolling load deterctor 14, the detected value for the roll gap, etc., are sent to the thermal expansion arithmetic unit 9 which operates the thermal expansion of the woek roll 1. Hereby, the effor in the thermal crown of the work roll 1 is obtained, and the controlling arithmetic unit 11 sends the controlling signal to the roll bender 4 and the roll coolant unit 5 on purpose to highly accurately control the shape of the work roll 1; accordingly, the steel sheet 3 with superior flatness is manufactured.
