Abstract
PURPOSE: To securely perform desired clamping, by attching pinch plates with buffers and absorbing the pushing force due to inertial rotation and bringing the pinch plates into pressural contact with the end faces of tranferred article under sufficient pushing force.
CONSTITUTION: A motor 27 is driven, a screw shaft 29 is rotated and a pair of right and left trucks 21 are moved toward each other. Thereby, both the pinch plates 24 are moved to both the end faces of a paper roll 40. When one pinch plate 24 comes into contact with the end face of the paper roll 40 ahead of the other pinch plate 24, a moving base 14 is horizontally moved on rails 15 so that the paper roll is automatically centered. When the pinch plates 24 come into contact with the end faces of the paper roll, both air springs 25 are compressd. Then, the pinch plates 24 are retracted with regard to a support frame 22, and a moving member 23b operates a limit switch 37, thereby stopping the motor 27. The displacement of the trucks 21 due to the inertial rotation of the motor 27 is adsorbed by the air springs 25.
