Abstract
PURPOSE: To automatically regenerate catalyst in a simple and continuous manner during operation by charging solid granules into a reactor in which many plate-like catalyst elements are fixed to the horizontal axis in the vertical direction, and turning the reactor to wear out the elements.
CONSTITUTION: The interval between beginning of deposition of dust over the surfaces of plate-like catalyst elements 2, 3 and occurence of a real obstacle due to the dust, and the time required to remove the dust and regenerate the elements are previously set to a timer. Automatic instructions of the timer start or stop driving unit 13, thereby turning reactor 1 or stopping the turn. When reactor 1 is turned, solid granules contained in reactor 1 fluidize and violently hit against elements 2, 3 to peel dust deposited off the surfaces of elements 2, 3 and pulverize it by friction. The pulverized dust is discharged from outlet 6 together with reaction gas and collected by dust collector 16 such as cyclone
