CONSTITUTION: This internal combustion engine type electric rolling stock is provided with a fuel controller FV, a load detector LRD, a main generator field winding MGF, an exciting generator XG, a field winding XGF for excitation controlling said XG, a current detector CD, a voltage detector VD, a master controller MC, current detectors MCD1WMCD3, etc., besides an internal combustion engine EN, a main generator MG connected to said EN and main motors for driving a car MM1, MM2, MM3 driven by the output of said generator MG. A digital controller DC containing a memory storage and a comparator is additionally mounted to said electric rolling stock, and relationship between the current and voltage of MG corresponding to the notch of MC is beforehand memorized to the momory storage.
