Abstract

PURPOSE: To recirculate the exhaust gases in an quantity corresponding to a throttle opening, under the running condition of a normal opening rage of a throttle valve, and to render the recirculation inoperative after the throttle opening reaches a preset level in the high opening range.
CONSTITUTION: An EGR control valve 4 is connected through a power transmission mechanism to a throttle lever 9. In case the opening of a throttle valve 7 slightly exceeds a preset level, the pin 14 of a connector rod 12 rides over the edge portion of a notch lla so that it is fitted in an arcuate groove 11b. As a result, the joint between an idle lever 11 and the connector rod 12 is released so that this rod 12 is set free.
