Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize connector performance by isolating the coupling part of a light element and a fiber from the effect of external force by spring mechanism thereby preventing the decrease in the coupling effeciency of the light element and the fiber even if the optical fiber cable is pulled. CONSTITUTION:A spring 13 is provided between the coupling part of a light element 1 and a fiber and the electrode pin 5 of the connector and a spring 14 is provided between the coupling part of the light element 1 and the fiber and the cap 11 of the connector. These springs 13, 14 electrically couple one of the electrodes of a case 9 and the electrode pin 5 as well as the other electrode of the case 9 and the case 7 of the connector, obviate the action of excessive force upon the coupling part of the light element 1 and the fiber even when the optical fiber cable emerging to the outside of the connector is pulled and prevent the occurrence of the decrease in the coupling effect of the element 1 and fiber and the failure of the coupling part of the element 1 and the fiber.
