Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the discrimination of the goodness or not of directional patterns by logarithmically amplifying the electric signals having been obtained from the reflected waves from the reflector so as to become larger as the signals are smaller then displaying the amplitudes or waveforms thereof with respect to the respedtive scanning positons. CONSTITUTION:The electric signals (reflection signals) having been obtained from the reflected waves from a reflector R are logarithmically amplified with a logarithmic amplifier 14, after which their amplirtude values are once stored in a signal processing circuit 16 and are displayed in a display device 19 by being expanded with time. Hence, in the Y-axis direction of the display device 19, they are displayed as the logarithmic values of the intensities of the reflected waves from the reflector R. Namely, the magnitudes of the side lobes, etc. are displayed relatively large with respect to the main lobes and the discrimination of the goodness or not of the directional patterns may be made easy.
