Abstract

PURPOSE: Cut pieces of satin-woven roving are circularly arranged and laminated in such a way that warps in cut pieces may direct to the center of the circle to form title rotor used as thick wall parts that withstands centrifugal force when revoving at high speeds.
CONSTITUTION: Satin woven cloth from one direction roving of glass or carbon fibers in which yarn count ratio of warp to fill is about 1;1.1-3 is cut into fan or strip shape. The cut pieces are circularly arranged and laminated in such a way that the warps 2 direct to the center of the circle. The resulting products are impregnated with a thermosetting resin of low viscosity such as unsaturated polyester or bisphenol epoxy resin in an amount of about 25-45wt% bases on 100wt% of the laminate and pressed under heating at 100-150°C and 50kg/cm2 to form said rotors
