Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain correct analytical results with a minimum of systematic errors by reducing errors in preparing calibration curve by linearly approximating the photometric results of two standard specimens differing in concentration. CONSTITUTION:A specimen 8 in a specimen container 7 placed on a sampler 6 is sucked by a fixed volume into a nozzle 9 by a pipetter 10. At the same time, a specified volume is sucked from a reagent bottle 11, and is discharged into a reaction vessel 13 on the reaction line 12. Reaction is undertaken while moving in a thermostatic vessel 17, and the nozzle 9 is washed in a washing tub 14. Next, the reaction specimen is sucked by nozzle 19 and then taken into a flow cell 21 in a spectrophotometer 20, then discharged after taking photometry. The empty container 7 turns and is washed by the nozzle 23. In this automatic analysis, the first standard specimen 8 is put in the first specimen container 7 on the sampler 6, and the second standard specimen differing in concentration in the second container, and the samples being measured in the third and subsequent containers to perform automatic measurement. Thus, the calibration curve of linear approximation due to first and second standard specimens may be made correctly. Hence, errors in making calibration curve may be minimized.
