Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect the central position of a laser beam within a short time with good accuracy irrespective of the rotating speed of the laser beam section by subjecting servo motor to proportional controlling according to the output votlage of a second subtraction circuit.
CONSTITUTION: Two photoelectric transducers 1, 2 are integrally formed to receive a laser beam. The maximum values of the output voltages of the respective elements are detected and held with detection circuits 14, 15. The difference in both output voltages is operated with a first subtraction circuit 16. The sum 18 of the output voltage of this circuit 16 and the output voltage of the potentiometer 17 cooperating with the movement of the boundary line C of the elements 1, 2 is temporarily stored in a sample holding circuit 19 and the circuit 19 is put in a sample holding state by the insturction of a comparator 21, after which the holding of the maximum value detection circuits 14, 15 is released with a delay circuit 22. Next, the difference in the output voltage of the potentiometer 17 is operated with a second subtraction circuit 23 and according to the output voltage thereof a servo motor 9 is subjected to proportional controlling, whereby the boundary line C of the photoelectric transducers 1, 2 is aligned to the centerline B of the beam section A irrespective of the rotation of the laser beam
