Abstract
PURPOSE: To simply and economically remove hydrogen chloride in exhaust gas, by electrolyting exhaust washing water containing Nacl after washing exhaust gas containing HCl by water solution containing NaOH and circulating water solution containing produced NaOH as washing liquid.
CONSTITUTION: The exhaust gas 1 containing HCl, is fed in the washing tower 2 and is discharged from the duct 3 after washed by water solution containing NaOH and removed HCl. On the one hand, the above washing liquid is sent to the washing liquid storage tank 5 from the bottom of the tower 2 and is circulated to the tower 2 through the duct 7 after adding the industrial water 8. Concentration of NaOH in the above washing liquid is maintained at a few% and also, that of NaCl is maintained at 20W30%. Next, a part of the washing liquid is sent to the thickener 10 from the tank 5 and is supplied to the electrolytic bath 13 through the temperature regulator 12 after precipitate is removed. Then, water solution containing NaOh produced by electrolysis in the bath 13, is circulated to the tower 2 through the circulation pump 16 and the duct 17, 7. Also, each Cl2 and H2 gas sent out from the bath 13, is stored in each storage tank 14 and 15. As a result of it, supply of NaOh to the washing liquid is unnecessary and corrosion of apparatus by Cl- is able to avoid
