Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of constituent elements and save the facility cost by using rectangular or trapezoidal wave excitation and sharing one signal converter by many electromagnetic flow meters.
CONSTITUTION: A trapezoidal wave signal from an excitation part 16 is commonly applied to excitation coils 13a, 13b ... connected in series to excite them. The magnetic flux thus generated is made to intersect at right angle to the fluid flowing in conduction tubes 12a, 12b ... of flow meter main bodies 11a, 11b ..., to generate induced voltage proportional to the flow speed of the fluid in the fluid. This voltage is picked up by pairs of electrodes 14a, 14b ... to feed to sampling timing generating parts 17a, 17b ... by way of amplifiers 15a, 15b ...
