Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture molding of a complicate form simply, exactly, and inexpensively by filling a metal powder to be treated into a mold, by placing glass powder over the metal powder in a layered state, and after making a preliminary treatment involving heating and degassing under vacuum, by applying a hot hydrostatic press treatment.
CONSTITUTION: The metal powder 2 to be treated is filled into the mold 1, and the glass powder 3 is placed over the metal powder in a layered stat. Then, it is subjected to a heating an degassing treatment under vacuum until finally the glass is softened and the upper part of the mold is sealed. The mold 1 thus sealed is taken out of the vacuum system to subject it to a hot hydrostatic press treatment in order to obtain a molding required.
