Abstract

PURPOSE: To perfform automatic arpeggio accompaniment with a simple constitution by converting the pitch name signals corresponding to one kind of chord to the pitch name signals corresponding to chord signals with a note conversion circuit.

CONSTITUTION: The pitch name signals for one kind of chord such as C major chord, etc. having been sotred in ROM 31 are applied to a note conversion circuit 38 to which the chord signals corresponding to accompanyment key touching are applied, via latch circuit 35 to which attack signals are applied and code conversion circuit 37 which converts the pitch name signals to the pitch name chord of a specified bit number. This causes the circuit 38 formed of logic gate to change the respective bit contents of the pitch name chord according to the chord signal and generate the pitch name chord corresponding to the chord signal. With this chord as a reference, the required frequency divided outputs through gate 51 controlled by octave signal are applied to an envelope circuit 53, by which arpeggio accompaniment sounds are formed, thus the arpeggio accompaniment corresponding to multiple kinds of chord signals may be performed with the simple constitutition of using ROMs of small pitch name storage contents
