Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure monitoring for the encoder and the decoder through a simple constitution regardless of the frequency and phase shift at the transmitter and receiver sides, by memorizing the PCM code of the transmitter side in the necessary number and in a fixed time and then decoding repetitively the memorized PCM code at the receiver side.
CONSTITUTION: The fixed frequency and the level monitor signal which are produced through oscillator 301 at the transmitter side are sampled through sampling circuit 302 with the time slot pulse correspoding to the idle slot of encoder 303 and then memorized in memory circuit 304. At the receiver side, the encoding pulse rows are read out and then decoded based on the writing order through idle time slot circuit 304 in decoder 308. Thus, both the encoder and the decoder can be monitored through a simple structure
